Dr. Azam did his MBBS in 2012 from the Rawalpindi Medical College.
He had his psychiatry residency at the Gangaram Hospital Lahore
from 2015 to 2018 and passed his FCPS in Psychiatry in 2019.
Subsequently, after spending a year at the Mayo Hospital Lahore, in
2020, he went to the USA for his PhD from the University of West
Georgia. As a psychiatrist, he draws primarily on Viktor Frankl's
logotherapy and psychodynamic tradition. Dr. Azam distances himself
from the tendency of thinking psychiatry as nothing more than
psychopharmacology, which makes it a pill-pushing enterprise.
Besides psychology and psychiatry, he is passionate about biology,
history, literature, philosophy, and sports.
